Creative and Inspiring Menu Designs
I like to eat. Anybody who acts like they don’t has some type of mental disorder and needs to find help ASAP. I’m not picky about things, but I really enjoy going to cool places to eat that inspire me and create a really enjoyable experience. The first place that comes to mind when I think about places like that is always Urban Stack in Chattanooga, and I am reminded of their well designed menus.
So in light of awesome burgers and cool places to hang out, here is a quick list of some really creative menu designs!
This is a cool design! I really like the layered pages for different sections of the menu, and the font choices.
This is another one with some really nice font use. There is one thing that really bugs me though, I can’t stand that the type isn’t centered in the box. It looks cool, but my symmetry sensors twitch every time I see it.
This menu design uses some really creative sections and borders. I like the colors too!
This is a clean looking and well presented menu. I really like the clipboard, but I can imagine it may get annoying when you are trying to order!
This is pretty similar to the last menu, but I really like the minimal borders and clean looking logo. Great use of paper color.
This is one of my favorites. I really like the flat icons for side things like fries and shakes and keeping things simple on standard meals. Seems like a good attention grabber to sell more deserts too!
The vintage look is really cool on this. It’s nice looking, but personally I can’t stand going out to eat and not seeing prices. This would be great for a list of specials or a one price fits all menu.
I like the use of table mats along with the menu. It really adds to the “theme” of what you are trying to go for.
Menu Design is one of the common tasks designers do that aren’t usually given much praise or attention from the people who use them. It can be hard with any project to find the tight balance between practical use and a creative design. Hopefully this post helped give you some inspiration for your next project!
What’s your favorite menu design?
